1. Objectives:
- To get acquainted with IPM principles and practices
- To learn about surveillance guidelines and methods of how to design, plan and conduct surveys of pests and diseases of date palm
- To learn about management methods of pests and diseases of date palm
- To learn how to design, collect and analyze IPM data from experiments on date palm pests and diseases
- To learn about the geotagging of the field data, data fusion and spatial analysis
2. Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, participants should be able to do the following:
- To master the preventive and curative measures for effective pests and diseases management in the date palm production farms
- Plan, design, and carry out surveys and IPM trials of pests and diseases of date palm
- Design and analyze IPM data from experiments on date palm pests and diseases
3. Target audience
Young researchers in early career with BSc and MSc degree working on IPM in different Arabian Peninsula Regional Program (APRP) region.
